I am in love with both the beauty and chaos which co-exist in nature. Weeds and wild flowers, stormy skies and the ever changing moods of the seas.

Home.....

Childhood was full of adventure and travel. Home was a trailer shared with my parents and three sisters. . We roamed across Canada, the USA and Bahamas before heading to England on one of the final crossings of the Queen Elizabeth ocean liner. We traveled/lived over much of Europe before returning to the beauty and wilderness of Canada as teenagers.

These travels meant we often ate our meals ‘al fresco’ at park picnic tables. My mother would often set the table with a jar of wildflowers, adding that touch of colour and care. In my child’s eye Wildflowers = Love and this notion has never changed.

The travel bug bit hard, I returned to England and Europe for 12 years as a young adult, enjoying punk, the street art scene and hanging around St. Martins Art School in Covent Garden, before returning to Vancouver, Canada with my daughter Persia.

Wherever I go, I just visualize that jar of wild flowers and I am home.
I want to share that love and joy through my paintings.

I want to bring the outside in.
